A Fresh Drink of Water

It's the most precious time of the year. Don't you love when the flowers bring freshness to the earth, the air feels like a fresh drink of cool water and life is bursting with newness. Easter does that for me. It gives me a minty fresh feeling. I just finished polishing my novel. Now I need an agent. I thought I would give you a taste of it since Easter is the day we celebrate eternal life through Jesus. Enjoy....'Outside, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows through the window. The garden, once tended by Nana Bess’s hands, whispered its farewell. Roses nodded, daffodils bowed, and the ancient oak stood sentinel. Nature understood; it had witnessed countless passages.
Nana Bess’s gaze shifted beyond the room, beyond the veil. She saw them—two angels had come to take her home. They shimmered like spun silver, their presence both weightless and profound. And there, at the threshold, stood Jesus—the One who had walked with her through every season of life. The room seemed to expand, its walls dissolving. Nana Bess felt lighter as if her spirit had already taken flight. She tried to reach out as Elly leaned in, their foreheads touching. But she couldn’t. Her moment had come. Heaven had come to claim her. Her breathing slowed, each one a bridge to eternity. Bess closed her eyes, and the angels gathered. She surrendered. Eternal beings lifted and carried her spirit. The room held its breath, as if the walls bowed in reverence...........And Nana Bess soared, leaving behind a well-lived life—a legacy of love, laughter, and faith. The angels sang, and Jesus welcomed her home.' Copyright@ C.K. Sharpe

Love in a World Without Pennies

Once upon a time, celebrating Valentine’s Day came cheaply. You could buy your kids penny candy tucked inside a little cardboard heart‑shap...
